WHY THIS ONE?

Because it was upgraded with a clear plan in mind: durability.

PRE CORONA BUILT

This 2017 model was built during Lagoon’s 'golden era' of the 42 series. Unlike boats produced during the high-pressure, supply-chain-disrupted years of 2020–2023, this vessel was built in full control of every part of the process with their established materials.

It is a proven, 'settled' hull with none of the teething issues or rushed assembly you might find on later 42s.

You won't find more than a handful of L 42s with this level of bluewater readiness. We built this boat to last. For instance by giving her an 8 layer bottom job. Find another L42 who has such a nice bottom.

The owner's version or 3-cabin layout is the most liquid asset in the catamaran market. If you ever decide to sell, you are holding the most desirable configuration, whereas 4-cabin models were built in way larger numbers and lose value much faster.

BLUEWATER AUTONOMY

Most L42s are built for coastal hopping; this boat is built for the ocean.

With a massive 260L/h watermaker, a heavy-duty Lithium/Solar setup, and a gas-free induction conversion, you are buying a self-sustaining island which lets you go off grid for months.

You just need to catch fish. I will tell you how.

SAIL WARDROBE

The standard Lagoon 42 is known to struggle downwind in light winds. This boat solves that.

With a Code 0 and a Wingaker, we have added a low wind sail plan worth 20k + Euro.

You will be sailing efficiently in 5 to 10 knots of wind while others are burning diesel.

5-LAYER EPOXY

She’s got a 5-layer epoxy lift on that aft – smoother and tougher than anything coming out of the factory today.

We didn't just slap on some random primer. We built a composite barrier: 2 coats West System for deep penetration and sealing, 2 coats of Sea Hawk Tuff Stuff in contrasting colors to ensure zero gaps and maximum thickness, and Hempel as the final industrial-grade shield. This hull is protected like a swiss vault. On top: 3 coats of matching Hempel self polishing Antifouling.
